International Artist Residency in Berlin

The Berlin-based residency program will take place between January and June 2027. The program includes a period of artistic production, the opportunity to present a month-long exhibition or public presentation, and an opening event preceding the final presentation.

Applications are invited from professional artists, artist duos, and small artist collectives. Artists who are enrolled in higher education programs at the time of application are not eligible, with the exception of those enrolled in PhD programs. Selection will be based primarily on the quality of the application and the submitted work.

The residency provides a monthly stipend of €1,500, regardless of the number of participants involved. In addition, participants will have access to studio visits and professional consultations with art professionals from the Between Bridges network. A further production budget of €5,000 is available to support the exhibition or presentation developed during the residency.

The application package must include:

– a curriculum vitae (CV),

– a portfolio,

– a short project proposal outlining the concept for the planned exhibition or presentation.

All application materials must be submitted as a single PDF file not exceeding 10 MB in size and 10 pages in length, including all attachments. Applications must be submitted digitally, in either English or German, through the online application form.
