IKT – International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art announces an open call for curators, artists, and researchers to participate in the Curatorial Matters symposium, taking place 1–2 April 2027 in Athens.

The topics of interest include the Mediterranean as a contested epistemic field, water and hydropolitics, migration and cultural belonging, as well as ecological transformation, climate breakdown, and environmental injustice. The organisers also welcome curatorial approaches engaging with collective and situated research methodologies, cultural memory and archives, as well as practices of solidarity, collaboration, and community-building across the Mediterranean region.

The call is particularly aimed at emerging and mid-career curators, artists, and researchers.

Applicants are asked to submit a 250-word abstract, a title, five keywords, and a 150-word biography in a single PDF or Word document to curatorialmatters2025@gmail.com.
